Transport Canada has invited the FFAO to participate in a meeting to discuss the requirements of First Responders.
In regards to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Transport Canada is conducting a study regarding Electronic Shipping Documents for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods. Depending on the extent of execution of the system, this could be of great benefit to First Responders. Possessing the ability to easily determine what is contained within a shipment in a severe incident could save lives and prevent injury. This could be a game changing initiative for the protection of the public, those transporting materials and First Responders.
We are excited to participate in Transport Canada’s study and look forward to the meeting.
